Terms and Conditions

Stand a chance to win one of 4 Prizes namely; one Porcelain Dinner Set and three Woolworths vouchers in the sum of R200 each. (“the Prize”)

1. ‘Promoter’: This competition is promoted by Recharger Pty Ltd (Reg No: 2022/218906/07) (“Recharger”)

2. Competition Period: This competition runs from 00:01am on 01 October 2022 until 23:59pm on 29 December 2022 (“Competition Period”). No entries will be accepted after 29 December 2022. Winners will be chosen each month commencing from October 2022 until December 2022.

3. Who can enter: You are entitled to participate in this competition if you are 18 years or older and reside in South Africa. You may NOT participate if you are a supplier of goods or services in connection with this competition, or if you are a director, member, partner, employee, agent of, or consultant to the Promoter or any other entity which directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter, or if you are any of the aforementioned persons’ spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister or business partner.

4. How to enter: This competition may be entered by submitting a picture of your connected Recharger Go Prepaid Electricity Sub-meter (with the accompanying sub-meter number) to email address: compliance@recharger.co.za

To enter:

a. The meter owner must submit a clear picture(s) with meter number(s) of their connected Recharger Go Prepaid Electricity Sub-meter number to:

b. The meter owner must ensure that a single clear photo of each connected sub-meter is submitted. One picture will constitute a single entry.

c. The Recharger Go Prepaid Electricity Sub-meter must be registered with the ‘Promoter’.

d. Only 1 entry per meter number will be allowed.

e. The winner will be randomly chosen by an online random selection programme.

f. The “Promoter” indemnifies themselves, its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, their Directors, Officers, employees, or agents against any entries lost, delayed, or damaged in transmission.

g. Entries reflected on Promoter’s records will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of successful entries.

Each Qualifying Entry will be entered into the draw and you will stand a chance to win the Prize. In the case of multiple registered Recharger Go Prepaid Electricity Sub-meters, each valid sub-meter registered and successfully entered into the competition will count as a separate entry. A winning meter number will not be eligible or considered for further prizes for this competition. Selected Winners of the prizes will occur on the 30 October 2022, 30 November 2022 and 30 December 2022.

Prize winners will be chosen on the following respective dates:

30 October 2022 – 1 winner – Gift Voucher

30 November 2022 – 1 winner – Gift Voucher

30 December 2022 – 2 separate winners – Porcelain Dinner set and Gift Voucher

The prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

5. Content of your entry: When submitting pictures of your Recharger Go Prepaid Electricity Sub-meters via email please note that the subject or body of your email that should constitute an entry may not: (i) contain any foul language, obscenities, defamation, hate speech or any otherwise inappropriate content; nor (ii) contain any content which may be harmful to the Promoter or its associated companies in any way; nor (iii) infringe the intellectual property or other rights of the Promoter, its associated companies or any third party. The Promoter reserves the right to remove entries which it deems to be in contravention of this clause.

6. Winner: The winner will be chosen by way of an online random selection draw on the 30th of each month commencing from October 2022 until December 2022. The Winners do not need to be present.

The winner will be informed via email to his/her email address within 7 days following the draw. The winner will be required to furnish his/her name, surname, ID number, delivery address and telephone number (“Participation Information”). The winner will be afforded 24 hours to furnish the Participation Information. On receipt of the Participation Information, such Participation Information will be verified and after successful verification, the prize will be delivered to the winner. All decisions are final, and binding and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into.

7. Disqualification of winner: There are certain situations in which a winner will be disqualified from receipt of his/her prize, namely: (i) he/she fails to provide Participant Information within 24 hours of it being requested by us for the second time; (ii) he/she is found to have contravened any other rule set out herein; or (iii) in anticipation of delivery of the Prize, he/she refuses to or cannot provide reasonably sufficient documentation to verify his/her identity. In the event of disqualification of a particular winner, a new winner may be drawn and contacted at the sole discretion of the “Promoter”. Any person transgressing the rules of this competition will be disqualified.

8. Use of participant and winner information: By participating in this competition, you consent to the use by ‘Promoter’ or a third party nominated by ‘Promoter’ of your Participant Information, so that your name and surname and can be announced as the winner and the Prize can be delivered to you. The winner further consents to the use of his/her image in marketing material, to participate in marketing activities, to permit the “Promoter” the use of the image uploaded in marketing material.

9. Unforeseen events: In the event of unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond Promoter’s reasonable control, The “Promoter” reserves the right to cancel this competition, to adjust the number or nature of the prize at any time or to modify the rules of the competition at its discretion.
10. Rules: By participating in this competition, you agree to all the competition rules set out above without exception.
